Tavi Gevinson

Hello World! This is Tavi...

Tavi who is amazing. She's a teenager, of the age 14 years young.

But what makes her different from me? both teenage bloggers, both into fashion...

Well what makes Tavi different is that she's kinda famous.

Tavo gets her clothing from thrift shops, antique shops and markets. In August 2009 Tavi made the cover of the british magazine POP.... These things make Tavi different. Tavi is a normal girl in some ways, like homework, family dinner, annoying class mates etc. But she has been able to be a some one, with over 1000 folowers on her Blogspot blog she can also be found on Twitter and various other social media sites, not facebook however.

www.thestylerookie.com is her blog page, feel free to follow her amazing work!

Tavi recently interviewed Gwen Stefanie for TeenVouge magazine, jealous much?

Anyway she is obviously different and I would love to be known the way she is, be flown out to Antwarp as a guest to a massive fashion show!

So go on tavi, make us proud!

Hello, this is Mr Bob Mackie's work of art. His life's work.
What's his claim to fame? Cher.... He is the master mind behind everything she ever performed in.
What else? He designed the Carol Burnet curtain dress...
I admire who he is and what he's done in the fashion industry :)
He is one of those men that you stop and admire for his originality, his creativity, his everything!
He also did a few designs for P!nk and Tina Turner.
He is among the world most admired fashion designers and is well respected in the industry.

So, I've been busy...

So, i've been busy. I mean I have been bombarded with home work.... And thus haven't had the time to blog. I have been wanting to post about a new hat of mine but haven't had the chance to sort out the pictures....
So let me tell you about the career day we had at school on Friday and about all the pamflets i got for all these fashion colleges.
There were lots, most of them in the area so I won't need to board, mom and dad are happy about that.... ;)
But it's not about whether or not the college has res. or not, it's about the courses it offers.
And I can't really say I know which one I am looking into. There are lots of things I need to concider but right now I'm concerntrating on Mondays Math test.
But there are great courses out there. I'm looking at the courses that are longer then a year because I think that you can't learn everything in one single year. But I'm not sure how long it does take to learn everything, I mean a large portion of the things I need to know can't be taught in a class room or by a teacher. There are things that I will need to learn from experience. They don't teach you how to handle rude photographers or striking tailors in a lecture hall, that is real life hands on action. But what they can teach you is how to keep standing even when you get knocked down by the critics.
I am dying to get going but in all reality I do have some time before I can get going.
I only need a matric with and English avvargae of 50% and mathamatic litrecy with an average of 50%.... Easy enough.
Art is recomended but not needed.
I'll keep you posted.

The boy from Newy

Say "Hello" to James Gerrard, the boy from Newcastle.
He was born on October 9th 1989, making him a young 21 years for some one as accomplished as him.
He is an avid fashion blogger and you can find his blog here. He blogs about it all, all the newest fashion trends and who's who in the fashion world.
He started blogging to intraduce culture and fashion into his comunity, which was very narrow minded. He says that there are someamazing people in Newcastle but he {Like I} felt out of place when it came to his love for fashion.

His favorite collections of all time are Balenciaga fall/winter 2009 "...because it showed us a little bit of Nicholas Ghesquire's romantic side." Says James. Next is a Prada Collection, Prada Spring/Summer 2011 "As I loved the Josephine Baker insperation and the trends will define the next few seasons" and the Proenza Schouler Spring/Summer 2010 "As is it has defined a whole new way of how girls have been dressing and defined the Proenza Schouler West Coat for the seasons then, now and in the future"

He is now living in Melbourne and currently is studying Advertising Comunications at RMIT University in Melbourne. He is also hoping to start developing a magazine in the next few months, wishing you the best of luch James.
